Over a number of years, nationwide a variety of projects with focus on cultural education gives pupils from different social backgrounds and with different talents a creative and active approach to music and dance. The participants’ experiences of a successful social, educational, artistic, and not least interpersonal process could have short impulses as well as lasting positive effects on the educational development of children and young people.
The aim of this research project, which is funded by the Grman Federal Ministry of Education and Research, is to identify the pedagogical and psychological factors in formative and summative evaluations of selected established projects (e. g., Future @ BPhil the Berlin Philharmonic, TanzZeit), that trigger such positive developments. The major research interest is to identify the characteristics of the process structures and the effects of participation in the projects on students and teachers with the help of quantitative and qualitative research methods. In addition, we aim at identifying the effects of participation in these projects at the school life of children and young people.
