At the end of August, Dr. Regina Gairal Casadó's more than four-month stay as a visiting researcher at the Department of Primary Education came to an end. We sincerely thank Dr. Gairal Casadó for the enriching and insightful exchange that her research stay enabled. Her reports and lectures, both within the department and in seminars, on her research and her passion project – the establishment of 'Learning Communities' in schools – were truly inspiring.

 Dr. Gairal Casadó is a researcher at the Faculty of Education Sciences and Psychology at Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Southern Catalonia (Spain). A central focus of her research is on the importance of supporting vulnerable children and adolescents, both in all-day school settings and in terms of extended education.

The research stay of Dr. Regina Gairal Casadó is funded by the Global Faculty Program for a period of three months.
