Social cognition and interaction
Many mental disorders are especially characterised by maladaptive cognitions in social situations (e.g. "nobody likes me" or "everyone thinks I'm ridiculous"), which can lead to difficulties in social interaction. In our group we look at information processing in social situations in borderline personality disorder and social anxiety disorder and how this is related to constructs such as trust and rejection sensitivity.
Individual projects:
- Neural processing, perception and experience of social participation (contact: Anna Weinbrecht)
- Sensitivity to rejection in case of mental disorders (contact: Charlotte Rosenbach)
