Furkan was a high school student from the Rosa-Luxemburg Gymnasium that joined us as an inter nin May 2022 under the supervision of Alessandro Gifford and Pablo Oyarzo. He collected EEG data of the neural response to seeing naturalistic videos. and performed analyses to the EEG data to build encoding models predicting brain activity from video.

He is now on his path towards becoming an astronaut. Towards this aim, upon leaving, he joined  a rocket engineering program in Norway supported by a scholarship from the European Space Agency.
