In 2020, I completed my PhD at the University of Chile, starting as a Research Group Leader at the Laboratory of Neurosystems in the Department of Neuroscience at the same university. In July 2020, I began working as an assistant professor in the Medical Technology Department at the University of Chile, focusing on Neuroscience, Ophthalmology, and Optometry. My research primarily focuses on studying the cognitive and neural mechanisms that underlie neurodegenerative disease changes and identifying electrophysiological markers for neuropsychiatric and ophthalmological conditions. From June to August 2024, I will be a guest researcher at the Neural Dynamics of Visual Cognition laboratory, working on a collaboration to describe how dementia impacts vision, analyzing visual symptoms and changes in visual functions.
