Transcranial Magnetic and Direct Current Stimulation Laboratory
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (TCDS) are methods for non-invasive brain stimulation in the context of neurocognitive research and clinical applications. The CCNB houses two TMS devices, a MagVenture MagPro X100 and a Nexstim NBS System. The lab includes a neuronavigation system for precise positioning of the TMS coil. An additional stimulating device (magstim Rapid²) can be used for simultaneous TMS-fMRI. For the application of TCDS, two battery-operated stimulators are available (NeuroConn and Schneider Electronic).
