Carmen studied psychology at the University of Göttingen and subsequently worked as PostDoc with Prof. Hauke Heekeren at Freie Universität Berlin. Last year, she was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship and currently works at the Medical University of Vienna. Applying a multi-methodological research approach, Carmen’s work aims to functionally dissect the different cognitive processes involved in emotion regulation and to examine the modulatory effect of emotion regulation on decision-making using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
