Bachelor thesis & Completion of the program SPO 2023

Please note: The Mono Bachelor Educational Science is instructed in German. Sufficient German knowledge is a key requirement for successful admission! We do our best to keep the English version of the Examination Office's website up to date. If you are able to, we advise you to refer to the German version as well.

Admission to the Bachelor's thesis
According to the study plan the Bachelor's thesis (10 CP) is written in the 6th semester. It is normally the final examination (although theoretically this can also be a final assignment or active participation). The title of the Bachelor's thesis appears on the degree certificate (opportunity to present your own study focus).

The following documents must be submitted - will follow shortly - (*all documents are only in German):

  • Application for admission
  • List of modules (first through fourth semester)
  • Topic proposal

Completion of the program

  • Bachelor Educational Science (SPO 2023): Application for graduation - will follow shortly - (only in German)

Please submit the completed and signed application to the Examinations Office. Only then the process of issuing the certificate and the transcript can be started.

Note: Information on the use of a self-chosen name on graduation documents (in case of deviation from the official name on ID documents)

De-registration

In addition to the application for graduation, there is also the application for de-registration, which is sent to the Student Administration Office (not the Study and Examination Office for Educational Science).

Here is all the important information on de-registration
You can apply for de-registration even if only examinations are still outstanding. According to the Berlin Higher Education Act, you are entitled to an examination after exmatriculation. If you have any questions, please contact the Educational Science Office!
It is possible to de-register either at the end of the semester (WS on the 31th of march or SoSe on the 30th of september) or on an exact day (effective from the specified day chosen).

Alumni
