Christian Woll ist seit Juli 2024 Postdoc bei Prof. Dr. Claudia Calvano. Seine Forschung beschäftigt sich vor allem mit der peripartalen psychischen Gesundheit von Eltern und deren Einfluss auf die Entwicklung des Kindes. Im besonderen Fokus stehen hier vor allem peripartale Depressionen und Angststörungen, die parentale Mentalsierungsfähigkeit sowie das Bonding. Erhebungsmethoden hierzu umfassen Selbstberichtsfragebögen, Beobachtungsdaten, die mikro- und makroanalytisch kodiert werden, sowie psychophysiologische Maße.

Forschungsinteressen:

• transgenerationale Auswirkungen parentaler psychischer Beeinträchtigungen, vor allem prä- und postpartaler Depressionen und Angststörungen, Mentalisierungsbeeinträchtigungen sowie früher traumatischer Erfahrungen, auf die psychische Entwicklung der Kinder, u.a. Stress- und Emotionsregulation, Bindung, Psychopathologie 
• Transmissionsmechanismen auf emotionaler (Bezugsperon-Kind-Beziehung), dyadisch-behavioraler (Bezugsperson-Kind-Interaktion) und regulatorischer (Stressreaktivität und stressregulative Kapazitäten der Kinder und Eltern) Ebene
• prä- und postpartale Bindung und Bindungsstörungen 
• Metascience
