Dr. Regina Gairal Casadó is visiting the Department of Primary Education for a five-month research stay. We are delighted to welcome Dr. Gairal Casadó as our guest.

Dr. Gairal Casadó researches and teaches at the University Rovira i Virgili, Faculty of Education Sciences and Psychology, Tarragona, Southern Catalonia (ES). Dr. Gairal Casadó works in Spain on the importance of extending learning time, specifically with vulnerable groups, with special emphasis on children and adolescents in care.

In particular, Dr. Gairal Casadó`s research field is directly related to the project GeLeGanz led by Prof. Dr. Marianne Schüpbach (funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research). The project focuses on educational success and social participation of socially and educationally disadvantaged students with migration background in extended education.

The research stay of Dr. Regina Gairal Casadó is funded by the Global Faculty Program for a period of three months.
