Title: Theories of Consciousness: are they all wrong, or all right?
Bio: Victor Lamme (1959, PhD 1992) is professor of cognitive neuroscience at the department of psychology, University of Amsterdam. He is most known for his experimental work on visual perception and consciousness, in both monkeys and humans and using a variety of techniques ranging from single unit recordings and EEG to fMRI or pharmacological interventions, on which he published in Nature, Science, PNAS and many other journals. He was president of the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness (ASSC), and is currently one of the theory leaders in the Templeton World Charity Foundation (TWCF) sponsored adversarial collaboration studies on theories of consciousness.
