In the department of learning psychology, we research learning processes by bringing together educational and cognitive psychological methods. The main focus of our studies is always on learning for example learning when acquiring school competencies and the learning strategies and processes of students. Another focus is numerical cognition.

The teaching of the department revolves all around giving future teachers pedagogical and diagnostic competencies. This is currently taking place in the educational diagnostics module and in various seminars of the learning research project module with a focus of diagnostics. We also supervise bachelor and master theses on topics of psychology of learning.
