Zur Person

Erik F. Øverland studierte Sozialanthropologie, Philosophie, Soziologie und Wirtschaftswissenschaft an der Universität Oslo, Norwegen. Øverland ist zur Zeit Gastwissenschaftler am Institut Futur und beschäftigt sich speziell mit den Grundlagenfragen der Zukunftsforschung. Er ist außerdem als Vorstandsmitglied der Board of World Futures Studies Federeation, WFSF (2009-2013) und als Politikberater des norwegischen Ministers für Bildung und Forschung, sowie als Gastprofessor an der Universität Stavanger tätig. Zu seinen Publikationen zählen zahlreiche Bücher und wissenschaftliche Artikel über Zukunftsforschung. Damit gehört er zu den erfahrensten Zukunftsforschern Norwegens. Øverland war Projektmanager des Regierungsprojekts Norway2030 (1998-2001) und führte Zukunftsstudien für norwegische und internationale Agenturen und Unternehmen durch. Seine aktuellste Publikation ist das Universitätslehrbuch: “CARPE FUTURUM. Die Kunst sich auf die Zukunft vorzubereiten?”, Cappelen Academic Press 2010.
